Monitors not ready, checked the battery for proper volt during idle; around 14.7 volts. Engine does have a p1500 code. Alternator was checked fine at Autozone. Battery was checked fine at Wal-mart (I had to charge it).
Now while I had let it idle longer, the battery light and brake light came on, so I went ahead to go check the volts at the battery again and it gave me under 12 volts; roughly 11.5-11.7 volts only. I rev'ed up the car and the volts went back up to 14.7 and stood there after I let off leaving idling. Now even while driving, sometimes the brake light and battery light would stay on intermittently; suggesting volts would be under 12v during the lights on.
With the p1500 code, and the stuff I've already checked, would you still blame the alternator? Or can a bad FR wire from the alternator cause the voltages to drop? I will re-wire it soon, but like to know opinions/advices. Thanks.
