2G Molding on side of car

Ive got a question about the molding on the side of Talons... Ok ive got a 95 esi, the drivers side door was crushed in from a guy backing into me with a van .. So i replaced the door with one off of an eclipse. The eclipse door doesnt have the molding on it and it throws the whole drivers side of the car off-even. I peeled the molding back on the busted up door, and this adhesive just stuck to the door. Im wondering is there a way i can remove this from the rest of my car? or am i just stuck with that?

I found a picture of someone elses talon on the web same model as mine... I coudlnt take a picture of mine until i get my digital cam fixed. But i circled what molding i was talking about

I just read that the trim has clips on it as well as adhesive.

Get a heat gun and some fishing line. Warm the trim and door up, then run the fishing line behind it. As you work your way along, put tooth picks behind there so it doesn't restick. It should pop off after you get it unstuck enough.

To reinstall, just buy some new double sided tape, properly place and call it a day.

If you are wanting to remove the double-stick tape, scrape off what you can with a plastic scraper and get the rest off with some paint safe degreaser or sticker remover.

I think that's some dealer-installed rub strip. Eclipses are naked.
