Well guys I got back to the states and picked up my GSX that I bought from a guy while over seas. Needless to says nothing like he said. Has stock injectors with a 18g full front mount and other bolt on stuff. I have had the worst time trying to get it streetable. 3 motor mounts, master and slave cyclinder for clutch, had to fix up plenty of places he didnt bolt down correctly, starter and a lot more. Well 2000 later ontop of the 4k I paid for it I am almost ready to buy some good mods for it.

It has 18g that i will be upgrading with a t3/t4 with a mitsu housing, i will be putting crowler cams with aem gears in it.

Stuff i will need- Injectors, fuel pump, coilover/shock and springs, fuel management and suspension upgrades all around for better handling and grip.

I have looked online at a aeromotive fuel pump in tank 340lph anyone know if it is any good for the 100$ it is.

I am looking for some ideas guys and if anyone knows good places to buy for a good deal. Dont want to break the bank but at the same time i really dont want to buy shit if something good is 100 more.

The term T3/T4 refers to the turbine housing. Then you state you are going to use a mitsu housing? What turbo do you actually plan to run and in what turbine housing?

I would go with DSMlink (depending on the year) for fuel management. It may seem like a big cost in the beginning but it is really more of an investment. The amount of features will not be met with any other non-stadalone system.

For the rest of the parts, you really need to set a goal. What do you want to run at the track or HP numbers? On what fuel? What can your rod and piston combo handle? Will your current valve springs be able to handle the overall lift and ramp rate of the cams you want to run? Then pick a turbo that gives you the airflow you need then injectors and other parts will fall into place. A solid plan will make for a much more pleasant build. Also, a little research to compare a few parts will go along way in helping you make a decision and discover what is needed to make the best combination. Lastly, a few vendors and manufactures will point you in the right direction but remember, if they do not carry a product they are not likely to mention it as their endgame (in many cases) is to sell you parts.

You need a lot of parts so there is no one place to buy parts. I encourage you to look at the supporting vendors page here on the site to see a list of vendors that support the platform. Although you can get many parts at one location, I would suggest shopping around before making any purchases.

Please take the time to make a DSM profile. This will give us a glance at your goals, current upgrades and future plans.

I agree on the dsmlink i am really looking for good places to buy them for a deal. Much of these vendors though i understand they need to make money are ripping people off. Asking 100-200 more then if u look up the same part on amazon or other buying sites.

Turbo has a .56 or .58 trim i think i havent seen it in a while its in ohio where i have to pick it up alone with a laundry list of other parts i have up there in an FBI holding

Link is modestly priced at most places. You picked a great week to start buying parts as Black Friday is around the corner. Look around and get an idea of what things cost this weekend, find the best price next week and pull the trigger.

The specs of that turbo, its potential and your goals will make all the difference in parts selection. Buying cams that increase top end power will do you no good if the turbo is falling off or your valvetrain does not allow you to rev high enough to take advantage of the cam combo.

As for the coilover setup, I have no personal experience with them. It is the general consensus that there are only a few sets of coilovers many members here will endorse. Do a quick search and if you can not find the part listed, I would steer away from that part.

Its about double what you plan to spend on the currently listed set, but check out the FEAL coilovers. They are one of few sets (that I am aware of) to offer the correct mounting options for 2G’s.

This thread was started for the FEAL coilover but contains a ton of information about other options that are available and how they compare to eachother. Yes, its 5 pages but research will pay off.
