So I was poking around in my engine bay and noticed that this bolt was missing. Could somebody give me the thread pitch and length of this bolt so I can get an exact replacement? Unfortunatly I wasn't the one to put together my engine, Road Race Engineering was. I wonder which is worse, this bolt missing, or the two stripped turbo-exhaust manifold bolts that were just left in there? :notgood:

These things happen so I wouldn't go blaming a good company over a couple bolts. It is a good idea to always check intake manifold bolts after 500 miles after it was re-bolted on, because with heat differences of the aluminum, and steel bolt they can work themselves loose. Just pop one of you other intake manifold bolts, and see if it screws into the hole, if it does then you have the length, thread pitch, and even something solid to show the guy at the hardware store.

All the mani. bolts are the same on intake side. Like ^^^ said, take one out, match it up, and turn them back in. Under a 2 hour job including drive time!!!

The thread pitch should be 8 x1.25 and about 25mm long. double check as i dont have one in front of me.

No no, I'm fairly sure that end bolt that is missing is a 10mm x 1.25, by the same length as the other bolts. The OEM bolt has a 14mm head.

Agreed! It IS larger then the 8mm bolts... It is the same size/thread pitch as the stud that is on the other side of the intake plenum, next to the 1g coil pack location. -Spin off that nut that is on the larger stud and there yah go... go find a bolt that will it. As for the depth, just take a straight pick and insert in the missing bolt hole to use as a guage to ensure that you don't get too long of a replacement bolt. -The hole that the missing bolt goes in deadends. Just make sure it doesn't bottom out, less you can crack the head.
