O.K.,Please dont put a flag on this. I have seen a few people on here that are from Minnesota, I need help finding a decent, RELIABLE mechanic with the knowledge of Spyders. I live in Burnsville, And I need one to put back together my timing belt. FROM the pulleys back up.

Long story short, balance shaft belt snapped, took out my cranksensor, so I tore it down to replace the sensor.Upon tearing it down,I noticed the Tb was bad. Then I realized I didnt know how to phase the front bs.I have looked and read up in multiple areas,But still not understanding the front. The one with the oil pump was fine.I actually learn more hands on then reading,so I try my best.

So Anyone, wisemen??? Know a good Not expensive mechanic that would be willing to take this SOHC beast on.

Thank you.!

I'd check out DB Performance if you can get it up there. Those guys know their DSM's and I wouldn't let anybody else in MN touch my car besides Shane or Danny.

Well thank you guys once again,Basically to everyone here on the forums. As you guys here from MN know its been nice here the past week,So I went and got a tensioner since the first one I sort of popped it compressing it, and through it back in.

Now the first time i had it all together and started it up it sounded like a diesel on steroids. I searched on here and found that the BS could be off 180 degrees, well winter came. I hate the cold. so i left it for about 5 months. Now last night i decide to go and put it together, which i might need to redo just to do it, And charge up the battery overnight. I go out there tonight hoping that i didnt bend or break anything before, I turn the key turns over for about 3 seconds and starts up. It sounds soooo smooth, 100 times better. Revs up quick and idles down quick. no ticks, clicks clacks, smacks. nothing. Now im afraid that I feel it was to easy after understanding the whole timing concept.

I just want to thank all!!! Now i got to figure out where everything goes. And continue with the hail damage repair. SOHC is definatly easier to time then DOHC. thanks!
