Exactly what I'm thinking!

As far as the meet itself, i'm not saying to go in the restraunt and eat there. I'm saying to hold a meet outside in that huge parking lot....I"m inviting all the mitsus there, a nice meet with hoods popped, car's displayed, everyone talking about setups/builds, etc. That could be from say noon -5pm ..break..then meet up again and head out to MM. We'll see how it goes!

Richard, that would be aweome if your beast is ready by then. Get on it!
 
How's JULY 25TH sound to everyone for this to go down? Day show and shine event at the Champps Americana of I-10/Huebner...then head out to Midnight madness @ San Antonio Raceway?

I figure the July date should be plenty of time for some beasts to be ready.
 
Hows about an update on all of this? My beast should be ready by mid July...hopefully. It's really close, just need to get that effing wideband in and a tune! ....and find the stupid vac leak that's been making me pull my hair out. ARGH!
 
i would love to have one here i used to live in pittsburgh, pa and the dsm shoot out held in norwalk was close and soo much fun . would get all of us togher and let each other get some good ideas from each other i know that i would definalty be there with one or two of my cars. please keep us posted :hellyeah:
 
Can we get a post of where, when and such.
Maybe update the first post or something easy.
I will be in the area from friday, so it would be awesome to see something like this.
 
as it stands now it'll be in july. probably on the 25th. but nothing is concrete yet.
and right now i dont have any of dsm's running but weather i got wheels at that time or not ill be there to help support the idea of this yearly (or maybe bi yearly) dsm/evo meet in south texas
 
If you guys want to have a meet I can organize something for later on in the year, or I'll help somebody organize it if somebody else wants to be in charge. I know alot of people are down or are doing builds right now so it wouldn't be soon.

I'm a vendor on 3si.org so I can get the 3si crowd to show up, we just need a set date.

Yea..unfortunately. I really hope to be a in better position monetarily and recognition wise to be able and make something like this happen next year with committed sponsors. As just mentioned though, there are a few cars down at the moment and builds going on. Maybe that's why interest was pretty low. I was surprised how low the interest was from the Evo side of the house.

Even if it's not a organized track event, I'm up for heading an organized meet for a Saturday when a midnight madness is going on..hangout, tech talk all day then hit the track at night. Maybe for later summer/early winter when more car's make it on the road.

I sure hope so, I'm getting antsy for a meet now that I got my car running. Idk how long its gonna stay running....
 
Well folks I am down here in good old SA and its hot as hell.
I met a guy with a dsm down here I drive a 91 tsi and have met up with a few locals and one local dsmer.
hopefully see u guys around more.
