Michigan DSM meet, April 1

Hey everyone. We are starting to get some nicer weather so its about time for our first meet of the year.

The first meet will be Saturday April 1 at 2:00pm at the Golden Gate Restaraunt in Grand Rapids.

Here is the address for those of you who need to mapquest it:

We have the entire place to ourselves until they open it to the general public around 4-5ish.

If you want to eat, its all you can eat for a flat rate of $9 per person (includes food, drinks, and tips).

For those of you who are south of Grand Rapids, we are all meeting up around Western Michigan University's campus (close to 131 and everyone can find it) to caravan up US131 to GR. We will be meeting for the caravan around 12:30ish to leave at 1:00 SHARP.

Anyone got a gen1 crank pulley?
My car threw the outer portion last week, so It currently sits in my driveway.
I could make it if I could get my car places. ^_^

If I'm not doing anything Saturday, I might hop over to Kzoo and join the caravan. It's only about an hour and a half from here, straight shot on I94. I'm might be getting my intercooler pipes made up tomorrow or the day after, so we'll see how that goes. I'll try to post whether or not I can make it. I feel like I need to get out and drive my car and meet up with some people soon.

Yeah, if you can make it, we're meeting at the track (US131) for opening day, this coming Saturday. Many of us will be there. April 8th from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. For more information or if you don't know where it is, click here www.us131motorsportspark.com .

Also, many DSMers will (hopefully) be at the Lane Automotive car show on memorial day weekend. Read This For More Details.

Thanks for the info Paul. Not sure if I can make this saturdays but Ill try. Im kinda new to the dsm scene but have been interested for last few years. Hopefully Ill meet some new people. We have a pretty cool car show in my town on memorial day weekend. I wish more dsmers came here. Anyways, thanks again and hope to be there.

Our show should be a good one this year too. We are estimating a total of 1200 cars and over 8000 people. It will be one of the largest shows of Michigan this year. I hope you can make it.

ya.......Im have been in the scene for about 3 or so years. I actually bought my new GSX with most of the mod done already to it. I believe in building and not buying but my Talon TSI had just broke down on me and I found the GSX and couldnt pass the deal up. It needs some lil work mostly cosmetic, but the engine does have lil leaks here and there that need to be fixed.

Our show isnt nearly that big but its fun tho ### of local guys and everything. I have a friend with an 03 EVO that I will get to go to the Lane Show.

We are trying to plan out the entire summer of meets for just that purpose...so people can plan ahead. Once we get the final schedule ironed out, it will be posted on the site that Paul posted as well as here on Tuners. As of now, the next big meet other than Test and Tunes at US131 dragway and the Kalamazoo weekly meets will be the Lane Automotive one.

It would be great to see some new cars and new faces, so encourage anyone and everyone to go.

Will do.........I would like to show up to get to know everyone and get a lil more insight into DSM's. Tricks of the trade if you will. No one knows these cars like we do and advice from other dsmers is very important. Hope to see you guys soon.
