Methanol + Nitrous ...... anybody with any experience/knowledge?

I was wanting to put methanol injection on my and but was worried about how to use it along with nitrous. I was planning to do the 50/50 mixture of methanol most of the time without nitrous and then just sometimes at the track use it along with nitrous. I would be also using race gas with the nitrous. I understand the whole concept of it and everything, just wondering about using it with nitrous.

The kit works great with Nitrous Oxide. Some people run it with the N2O so that they don't have to retard the timing, getting more power.



I do not recommend injecting nitrous without any additional gasoline and trying to use methanol as the fuel to match with the additional oxygen. It could be possible, but it would take a lot of development and setup, with a lot of additional methanol, as it takes more than twice as much to match the BTU capacity of gasoline.

Injecting meth as the extra fuel in a nitrous situation is being done in the domestic world. Poke around turbobuick.com for more info.

Then head over to alkycontrol.com and drop Julio a call about it. He has worked with this type of injection. Quite positive results.

Thats the reason I have a 3 gallon cell for my my meth injection...just in case I want to use nitrous at some time.
