I have megasquirt on my 1g that I am trying to get running. When wiring it up, you have to also wire up a seperate relay power up the MPI. I ran 12v's from the relay to pin 107 and 102 on the stock ecu harness for this.

The MS Ecu is not getting and crank signal. I checked the CAS and it isn't getting any power. My coil pack is getting like 9v's, the injectors are getting like .05 volts. Any idea why the cas isn't getting power?

More info needed

What version of MS (ms1 ms2?)

Did you tap into the harness and is the stock ecu controlling or reading? (my ECU is still in place because it is needed to turn on the TPS and other things maybe even the CAS)

Did you do all the mods to make the MS see the cas signal? Which mods? did you bench test the MS system on a jim stim?

If you don't have one, one easy way is to take a CAS and hook it up to power and spin it with a drill. 4 wires come off of the cas (12V+,ground, 4 slot, 2 slot) and see if the MS reads it.

The CAS won't get power until the MPI is powered up first, which is why you need the relay. I ran into the same problem, and just created a "power on" switch for the MPI rather than hook up another relay.
