I was wondering if I could install a mechanical oil pressure gauge from the head. I'm getting my turbo oil feed from the OFH, so I've blocked off the stock location at the head. Could I use this port for an oil pressure gauge? I realize that pressure will be lower in this location, but could I still do this and have an effective oil pressure gauge?

Thank you chaazz, I guess I didn't read your first post thoroughly enough. I would take oil pressure from 3 different spots if the budget was there and this wasn't my daily driver... I'd just like to minimize the gauges in the cockpit. I have no problem with a useless stock gauge, so it looks like I'll be going this route. Thanks everyone, we'll consider this thread Resolved.

Hmm, land-speed dsm, that sounds like something I might want to do. I'll do some research into that. like you said, having a "big-picture" of whats going on with my oil pressure is a much better idea than just knowing whats going on in one spot.

My 14B car I only have one more input on link and was going to do a switch setup so I can read oil pressure, turbine backpressure, and one other thing. I am now just going to use the one aem sending unit and plug what im not using. That way I dont have to keep changing my sensors in link. PLus its cheaper and I dont need to log all these things all the time.

Hey, Landspeed, what about three senders and switching between each on the fly? I think it could be done with a couple relays perhaps. That would be really cool, especially for those who run expensive BB turbos and such.

You could certainly do that and just use a 3 way switch and some relays, only needing one gauge. I just move the sensor and cap the ports I'm not using. I have a JB turbo and its not a money issue LOL I track a few parameters, like boost, egt and oil pressure, in multiple spots simultaneously. others like drive pressure and coolant I have the option too but don't at the moment.

Exactly how I see it :thumb:
