This might be totally irrelevant but id like to step in and point out that it only takes 200whp to get a 2000lb honda into the deep 12's. A delsol where i live, runs a b16 with 204 whp, and a curb weight of 1985lbs and runs 12.5's.
So if your were to race this kid from a roll your talking about racing at least a low 13 second car judging by his mods, but thats just my two cents. Im not saying the del sol would win by any means, i just dont think its the ass handing you guys are thinking it would be.
Try and get the kid to race again, and if you do race from a roll and a stop, if the kid knows anything how to drive it should be two very different races.

Everybody is gonna hate me for this, but look at this allmotor honda kickins some DSM ass. SORRY GUYS! I was just as shocked as you guys prbly will be, although there really isnt alot done to the dsm's (20psi on a T-25, WTF?????), the ITR is almost bone stock

Dosen't take much for a swap honda to reach into the 13s. That video dosen't supprise me.

Im sorry when my dsm was stock it would pin you in the seat...I didnt see the camera person move at all when the race started. Plus if the race was from a stop the dsm woulda won badly. I dont believe the video much...but yes hondas can be fast power to wieght is their fight, it was mine for 3 years in my civic. But if the mods on the teg are true that car has to driven at 7k rpms when getting the groceries:laugh:

edit: I completely forgot the 2001 itr's had a freeak motor that is sick compared to the other itrs of its model. for example pre 2001 itr 15.3-15.1, 2001 14.8-1.9. Making it a drivers race, very nice shame I forgot it.

What kind of first gen DSM came with a T-25? Im pretty sure the vid said that the car pushing 20lbs was a 93.

I love the sound of VTEC kicking in, but it's still not as good as the whine of a turbo and whoosh of a BOV.

yup it is a drivers race tegy= 14.8 gsx=14.9

that was on a roll though FWD:|

but hey integra type Rs and RSX type S get my respect;)

you would of killed him man.

And the H22 is better then the H23 imo.
Before my DSM i had a 95 Ls w/ a head w/ cams, ported and just the basic honda bolt ons(intake, plugs, wires, exhaust) and a GSR tranny (which is better geared for lower speeds then top, so till 80 my car would get it pretty good, kept up w/ a friends stock 91 tsi at the time).
Well anyways i raced a lude w/ a H23 and i smoked him by atleast 4 cars . Then i raced a friend of mine w/ a lude w/ a H22 and just had intake and a muffler, and he beat me 2 times outta 3.

But in the end you would of beat this kid pretty good.

Take away the slicks, VHT and good track prep and you just turned a 12.5 second FWD car into a mid/high 13 second street car. Traction is EVERYTHING in a heads up race,,,,,, something a Del Sol won't have without slicks.
