I searched and didn't find much. Im trying to install a joe p z mbc on a hahn 16g turbo. I have heard mixed reviews of where to tap the pressure source of the controller to. Some say bov hose, others say the intake nipple, and others the turbo nipple. My turbo does not have a nipple on it. Where's the best place to tap? Also do I cap the nipples on the old bcs?

I capped the nipples on the old BCS just to keep the dust out, but it doesn't really matter.

Don't use the BOV line because if it leaks at all it will mess with your boost control. I have mine going to the compressor nipple, but since you don't have one the best place would probably be the LICP.

Here's a picture of the turbo. Can a nipple be put in the stock licp? Also is the top left bold a place to put a fitting?

You can put a nipple on the stock intercooler pipe by getting a metal pipe that fits in the stock pipe and welding a nipple to the metal pipe ...I did it this way on my car and it works great. Ill try to find the pic and post it for you so you have an idea of what im talking about..

You can use vicegrips to curve the metal pipe at the ends so that it does not pop off. I would recomend welding the nipple that way you don't have any leaks. make sure your hoseclamps are nice and tight. I've been using this for a while and it works great. cheap way to get a nice boost source.

yes I do. It has a t going to bcs. Then can I just put another t in there for the controller?

You don't need the hoses going to the BCS, so take them off and run a hose from the nipple on your compressor housing to the pressure side of your MBC, then run a hose from the outlet side of your MBC to the wastegate actuator.

Sorry for my lack of knowledege. Ok still confused. Maybe this picture will help.

Is this your MBC? In the top picture the left side goes to the nipple on the Compressor housing (boost), and the right side goes to the wastegate actuator (gold and red thing in your pic). The shorter you can get the hoses without kinking them the better.

I think there is an arrow in you pic pointing to the nipple, but its kinda small, can't really tell...

To your last post: The stock BCS has a line running from the Compressor housing nipple to the lower(?) nipple of the BCS, and a tee comes off this line to the wastegate actuator. The upper nipple of the BCS goes to the intake.

Just replace the tee with the new MBC.

That wasn't very clear, I'll try again.

Replace the tee with the MBC, but leave out the line that goes to the BCS, because the BCS will not be used anymore.

I hope I'm helping you and not just confusing...
