Ok, so i know the regular diagram to hook up the MBC looks like this...

but, i looked at it today and the waste gate has one line running to it, but it's also running from a line the goes from the turbo to the boost control solenoid, like this (if you can figure out my crappy MSpaint drawing).

my question...do i put a T at point 1 or 2 on my drawing? oh yeah, and do i do anything with the lines that go to the wastegate solenoid and then to the intake? maybe plug them or something?

if no one can figure my crappy drawing out, ill work on a better one.

run it just like the top pic buy vacuum caps to cap off the nipple on the air filter can and 2 more (not really required) for the boost solenoid. Why let a bc solenoid spoil your new found fun and bleed off boost?

when you install an mbc on a 2g, you disconnect the vacuum lines from the boost control solenoid, but leave the electrical plug in.

you don't even need to necessarily run the boost source off the bov line. You can use the outlet on the t25's compressor housing if you want. There have been many discussions about the pros and cons but I leave it up to you to search and decide.

I do not know the penalties of not plugging the outlets on the BCS but I was not aware of any and as such mine are uncapped. Other nipples should be capped off though.

I just installed my Joe P MBC. Using the first diagram above, instead of tapping the hose into the T-fitting, my dejon lower ICP has a stock boost presure fitting, thats where i hooked the hose up to. Is this the correct way to set it up? I also plugged the 2 boost solenoid nipples. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

yes, that will work as well

Thanks, i thought that was correct, i was just second guessing myself. Anyone have an idea of how far out or in i should set the dial on the MBC to get it as close as possible to 12lbs of boost. I just need a general area to start off at. Thanks again.

just make sure you be careful when turning it up/down! i stripped my threads inside the "screw hole" and now it wont turn down which lead me to remove the mbc altogether because she was getting the ol' fuel cut! i also had mine hooked up to the wastegate and nipple on the intake which is why i replied..

as long as there are no leaks in your car (no uncapped nippels or open vacume lines) you can just install your mbc with a vacume line from the wastegate to the mbc outlet, and from the mbc inlet, to any vacume line attached to any line coming from any pipe between the compressor housing and the head.... aka intake manifold, upper intercooler piping, lower intercooler piping....just look at where the compressed air from your turbocharger will be going, and make sure that some of that compressed air can get to your mbc, then your wastegate...
