i am thinking about a fuel computer. and have been shopping around for one for a great deal of time now.. its down to an APEX'I S-AFC or a standalone fuel and ignition computer.. but then a friend of mine said something about a computer called a MAP ECU.. cause hes going to run it on his 3000 gt vr-4 and i read the FAQz on Power House Racing.com and they listed a whole bunch of applications they run it on and one of them was an eagle talon and eclipse.. so if you have some feed back let her ripp.. i am very interested..

The PHR map ecu is a speed density setup that eliminates the mass air sensor, and allows you some fuel tuning capability. You cannot however, adjust ignition timing with this unit. For $895.00, i would personally just spend a couple hundred more dollars for a full stand alone unit. Tuning sucks without some kind of ignition control. Just my 2cents. :)

I was acutally thinking about running it with my dsmlink. I was going to keep dsmlink for timing control and for the codes and stuff, and use the MAP ecu for fuel tuning. I just want to get rid of my MAS sensor. Whats cool about MAP ecu is that you do not need to buy a map sensor, it takes the pressure fromt he manifold with some fitting or hose that it comes with. Also after you hook it up, you need to leave your MAS sensor plugged in for a week or so because MAP ecu records the readings from the MAS sensor and builds tables based on that. I am strongly considering aem though. It doesn't say in your profile if you have a 1st or 2nd gen, but if you have a 2nd gen have you thought of dsmlink? Depends what your goals are and stuff.

If your 2g: get DSMLink V2 and wideband kit

If your 1g: Wait for DSMLink V2 for 1g's and wideband kit ;)

AEM also looks like a good choice, lot's of support and you can go speed density with it. AEM has been proven enough to make big power with the right tuning.

I have the map ecu and dsmlink. You definitely need a wideband o2 to tune the car fuel wise. The unit wrks well with the DSM link. The Aem I heard wrks very well and would probably be a lil more expensive to use but not by too much. I'm talking about the price of AEM vs DSM link + Map Ecu. In my setup the link controls a whole host of things including timing while the map ecu gets rid of the air mass and controls my fuel mapping. I'm about to add a wide band o2 to wrk with the Map Ecu. However So far so good.
