manual to power locks

Hi I'm not exactly sure if this is the place for this but I've searched and cant really seem to piece it all together, I want to swap my 97 RS's manual windows to power windows I need to know what I need, where to get it, and most important of all how to do it. If anyone can help me it would be very very appreciated.

Im not sure if thats ever been attemped i could be wrong, youll need everything to power the window doubt there is a step by step process.

You could try buying the door wiring harness of somebody here doing a partout. You will need all the guts though, window motor and track, door locks, door panels, master switch controls for windows and locks... can't think of anything else. I think most of these cars have the same body harness so should just be getting the parts for the doors and plug in the harness to the body harness in the rubber boot between the door and frame.

My '99 RS has power windows and locks.... but manual mirrors. So I was lucky and just had to buy power mirrors and a harness with all the features I wanted, then simply plugged it all in and bought a mirror switch for the dash, which had the wire tucked in the dash, and it all worked.

Check fuse boxes to make sure there are fuses for whatever options you want to add.
