manual rack n pinion bellow boot problem

im rebuilding a manual rack n pinion i got from the junkyard... i pulled the power steering rack and started to swap parts.... my question is are the bellow boots different on a manual rack???? i tried putting them on and the one farthest away from the steering rod is really loose... is there a different bellow boot for that side???

The part number is different on RockAuto.com, at least for ACDelco and Moog. Moog actually lists options for Left vs Right for the Manual as well.

If you want to see the full list, you have to search for a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse 1.8L (searching for an Eagle Talon will not display the 1.8L option). That way will give you the Manual vs. Power part options.

On a related note, according to the diagram above, although the boots are different the tie rod ends are the same for all models.
