Manifold copper gasket question.

I recently bought a Mr.Gasket copper exhaust manifold gasket, and it has an o-ring embossment in one of the sides. The instructions are not quite clear, and i would like to know, which side this embossment goes to, towards the head or towards the manifold?

I have the FFWD Connection embossed copper gasket and it has a stamp on it that says "this side out" but the raised bumps should face away from the head.

The manifold gasket has been fine no leaks been on for about a year.

Just an FYI, the exhaust mani gasket will only slide over the studs ONE way, if it is backwards the holes wont line up with the studs....

I hear horror stories of stuff that comes from them. My buddy swears that they lead to bad problems and he's got the fastest car around here. SO I KINDA BELIEVE EVERYTHING HE SAYS.

My copper mani gasket holds great. No leaks. I used some copper gasket spray. It has that same raised lip.
