How many 180's (U turns) do I need for a custom 3" 1G exhaust. I searched but I see many using 90 dgree turns... just wondering if I could use the full 180's.

So the 90 degree would be for the downpipe and the 180 degree would be used for the cat back side?

Would I be able to just buy (2) 180 degree turns?

It depends if you are trying to spell your name in cursive.

i couldn't resist not saying that.

In other words... is using two 90's recommended over using one 180 (issues with cutting, etc.)?

usually 180's are used mainly for going over axles. yes you can use 2 90's, but the 180 will be cleaner looking and flowing

The point of the joke is you can use as many as you want or even make designs with your exhaust

That I understood... where my question came from is regarding the downpipe... would I be OK taking a 180 and splitting it in half? The local shop only has 180's available no... 90's.

If you cut it at the right place then yes. Most exhaust jobs can be done by eyeballing and cutting to fit. Figure out what you are trying to do then look at what you have to work with. If you are trying to make what i am picturing in my head then yes it can be done by cutting a 180
