where is it an how do i get to it

would it really keep my ignition from firing??

the car will turnover but wont spark, its not the plugs, its not the wires, it isnt the coil, what else is there to check??

I am yet to see this problem on a DSM car but on hondas it's a constant plague. The 2 ways to tell if it's shorting on honda cars is first, does the CEL click on then click off (and you can hear it actually 'click'). Next under the hood, the fuel system should pressurize itself between clicks. Sorry I couldn't directly reference your car, hope my comment helps

The MPI relay on a 1G is located on the outside of the center console on the passenger side.

If the CEL light doesn't turn on for five-six seconds when you first turn the ignition on then the ECU isn't powering up and nothing else interesting is going to happen.
