There might be another muffler worthy of consideration.
A number of snobby suburban areas around Chicago are passing their own "loud muffler" laws. While my libertarian opinions on these abuses of power are beyond the scope of this thread, the following link is not:

I put the Spintech 3436XL on my 1G, mated to my existing a custom 3" pipe and you would not believe how quiet it is! I noticed no loss in performance over my "straight through" design that was on there before I ran afoul of the aforementioned snob law enforcement. It literally sounds more quiet than stock! And with the dual outputs, it sorta looks like the stock muffler as well.
It is highly recommended that you evaluate this truly unique exhaust product.
