ok so i got this mass air flow translator with my 1st gen talon and i got a gm maf..the problem is that the translator doesnt have the plugs on the end? its just wires with metal prongs on the end ...can anyone help me? tell me if i can buy a plug or straight wire it or somthing? would like to save 200 dollars an not buy a new one!

here are the pin outs for the maft and you can look up the 1g mas pinout on vfaq

just match the wires and you're done. Thats what i did - i had 1G MAFT and 2g plug, matched the pinouts and done in 15 min

1 - Idle position switch
2 - Air flow sensor
3 - MPI control relay
4 - 5V power supply for sensors
5 - None
6 - Ground for sensors
7 - Barometric pressure sensor
8 - Intake air temp sensor

im still kind of confused. do these wire go into the plug that plugs ino the mass air flow sensor. and how do i set up the gm maf?

yes from the maft connector to the mas on your car, as far as setting up, it will differ on your car fullthrottletech.com all you answers will be there.

ok i could not find anything on where the wires go in the plug. i just need to know wich color of wires plugs into what number of slot on the plug. andalos what color goes on what prong in the gm maf

do you have the gm maft connector they should be yellow black and pink , then just connect them tto the maft box, just match the wires and the connectors like described above.
