My trims look like this.
low-110
med-101
high-89

Where do I adjust to lean out that 89%. I am running MAFT and an SAFC.

now my trims look like this:

105
118
82

I don't know what to do. I need to richen up my mid, but won't that cause my high to make it even more rich or vice-versa? If I lean out my highs won't it'll make my mid even more lean?

You might try setting your base settings with the MAFT if you are still having trouble. It is reasonably simple to set with a few test cruises at 60 -70mph on the freeway. Just do some 5 minute runs at a steady speed.

Make sure you first have your base and aux set for your injectors as a starting point. Then just make adjustments with the base knob to get to 100%. On the base knob CW is leaner and CCW is richer. All other knobs (idle, mid and WOT) are the opposite.

Researching this, when running rich or lean on your high trim, it usually usually indicates that you need to lean or richen your base settings so lean out your base a bit and see if it corrects your high trim.

Your low trim is directly influenced by your idle settings and your mid trim should balance out on its own if you get the low and high set well. This is what I did on my MAFT to tune, I do not have SAFC.

ok thanks alot for the info.right now my maft settings are set for 450's,but my idle is all the way rich..why is this?i have no boost leaks, new 190 pump, new filter, and tried a n/t fpr to raise the pressure and still have to richen up the idle..this is on stock injectors.

It's just the way your setup is behaving... mine is the same way. I believe the gm maf may be a bit inaccuate at low airflows  . or maybe it is the maft that doesn't correct the signal correctly at low flows  . it doesn't really matter. All that's important: are your fuel trims close to 100.

Mits3gts,
Your profile shows you have 680cc Injectors. Why are you setting your MAFT for 450's? OMG This will make you run extremely rich.

I have 450's and a 190 fuel pump and I had to set mine for 470cc.

Your high fuel trim starts adjusting when you move at about 50-55 mph stead for several minutes. I belive that corresponds to about 2500-2700rpm in 5th. That's the are you should start adjusting. However, adjustments on MAFT may be too crude. SAFC would do a better job there. Mids are right below that. Low fuel trim will start changing if you idle long enough.

i am really getting fed up with the maft setup,i have been doing nothing but fighting this problem. i cannot get my trims right at all, maybe i am not adjusting the setting correctly. my mid is at 139% while my hi is at 90%. i have the eprom chipped for 650's,afpr set for 37.5psi and i thought my maft settings were correct. so where do i adjust maft to correct the lean mid trim and the rich hi trim? thanks alot

Have you read the manual? I know it's available online somewhere... in any case, there should be a set of three knobs on the MAF-T.. one for low, one for medium, one for high trim.
Someone else was having a problem before, and it turned out that he was turning the knobs the wrong direction, as he didn't RTFM.

yes i've read the manual, and your wrong about those knobs this is taken right from the manual.
Do not confuse low, mid, and high trim with the idle, mid, and WOT knobs. Idle adjusts airflow at 25Hz, mid at 500Hz, and WOT at 1000Hz.

so i guess my question would really be,where does the mid trim start changing? at what airflow?
