As of right now here are my mods K&N FIPK, Greddy Type-S BOV, Greddy upper and lower IC piping, Greddy small FMIC, Joe P. MBC, and a boost gauge, 3" Turboback, Act 2600 clutch, 650 FIC injectors, MAFT w/ 3" GM MAS, and Walbro 255lph.
I have it set at aux=5, base=7, idle=D, Mid=0, WOT=0
I still have the stock T-25 should I zero out the idle too?
Thanks

I also forgot to add that it hesitates when it starts, and when I start it for the first time during the day I have to rev the engine or it dies, plus my check engine light is on. What do you think I should do?

What version of MAFT are you using?

Why do you have your AUX knob on 5? With 650cc injectors, you should be on 1 on your AUX knob. Then put your base knob to around 4, that should put you at a safe setting, around the setting for 610 injectors. I have PTE 680cc's and my base is set on 4.

leave your mid and high knobs on zero.

go for a cruise on the interstate at about 60mph and watch your O2% cycling. If it is above a hundered, turn your base knob to richen it up (left on base only) If it is below a hundred turn it right to lean it out (base only).

This should dial in your high fuel trim.

Then after you have the base set properly you can now set the idle knob properly and after that, you can then go do some logs and set your wot knob.

*remember that your high trim has nothing to do with your wot knob. You only change the high trim with the base knob. And remember that you high trim does not change from doing wot pulls, it will only change from a constant cruising speed of 50-70mph.

I hope this helps

Is this for both version or for 1.3v or 2.0v? Please let me know as I have the same problem he has. I have my MAFT 0ed out...even though I have 680s. It only runs semi good because I have my AFC in there, but I want to have the MAFT set for my injector size and then tune it with AFC. So yea...if you could tell me if thats for ver 1.3 or 2.0 so I can go chance my settings I'd appreciate it, thanks.

2Gs want 0% fuel trims for LTFT and STFT. You don't watch O2s for tuning anything except partly on WOT. 2Gs don't have a "high trim" displayed on the logger, just LTFT and STFT. STFT is feedback from the O2 senser. LTFT is the active stored fuel trim depending on what airflow value you're at ; 88hz and below, 88hz-180hz, or 180hz and above... Don't apply any of that 1G info to your 2G.

Have you read the instructions and the tuning guide?

The great thing about tuning based on airflow rather than rpm points and throttle position (SAFC) is it really doesn't matter what turbo you've got on, the settings will be faily close with a larger or smaller turbo on the same engine. Your base settings for 650cc injectors and stock fuel pressure are AUX 5 BASE 7. edit: you've got that right. What do your STFT and LTFT say after idling for about 5-10 minutes?

This is all v2.01 btw

Is it possible to tune the S-afc with the MAFT at all without a logger? I just haven't had the money to get one yet and i'm trying to get my car running somewhat decent. After putting the translator on and doing the blow-thru set up, the car seems actually slower than before. The turbo doesn't spool till almost 4k now where it spooled around 3200 before. I have 550's with a 17c turbo so I have my Base at C and my Aux at 4 on the translator and just tried tuning with the afc. Can anyone help or should I not even try to mess with it without a logger?

I wouldn't even mess with it without a logger DSMgurlie. It sounds like you're running rich right now and I wouldn't try to fix it because if you move into the lean range, you're probably not going to know it without a logger which will lead to some engine damage. Stick with your base settings until you can moniter your trims. :thumb:

Thanks for the info. The logger is the next thing on my list to get..I just have to save up some cash. I guess I can wait a little longer to get tuned. I just want to get to the track again before the race season is over
