I was wondering if i got a maf-translator, would i still need to put the maf sensor between the intake manifold and BOV inorder to vent my BOV into the atmosphere,i heard if i got the translator i could keep the maf between the filter and intake pipe and still be able to cent the BOV, i tried searching the site but i didnt find anything about it yet :dsm:

The GM-MAF when used with the translator is " basically " the same as a stock maf, therefore, if you put it where your stock maf is located, you will still have ill effects from venting it. Also, if your buying it for the sheer purpose of venting your bov, your wasting your time, money, and your a ricer.

no its not just to vent the bov but if i can i mihgt as well, im also getting it insted of getting a SAFCII, but inorder to vent then id be better off upgrading the intercooler pipeing n putting the sensor after the bov then?

DAMN DUDE!!! OMG

Chill...

I think that was a perfectly reasonable question. There was no grounds for calling him a ricer :|

On the other hand, ever since the VPC has been discontinued, this option has only been available to Standalone users.

Now that the MAFT is out, it is a more cost-consious way to not only vet the BOV, but clean up the engine bay a little more.
I mean, no body actually *likes the fact they has re-circ tubing everywhere, do they?

Getting the pipe is what you have to do. do you understand why? venting to atmosphere lets metered air exit the engine. that means there is gas being added for air that is no longer there. thats makes you run really rich temporarily usually causing rough running and or stalling.

There is a plethora of information on this topic.

put the maft after your bov so you can vent without the ill effects of it. I will try and remember to take some pics of mine in the next few days for you.
