I see guys here all the time running lowering springs and 3 inch exhaust. Being AWD, the exhaust must pass under the rear axle. I have just lowered my car with Tein S-techs, which claim 1.5 all around. It is sitting on 17 rims with 215 tall tires. My 2.5 inch exhaust is very close to the ground now. Plan on upgrading to 3" soon. Want to know what experiences guys with similar set ups have had. Scrape, dent, anything? If so, is there a way to avoid this? thanks alot tuners.

I have a 2g, 17" wheels, 225/45 tires. 3" turboback, under axle obviously, It's a greddy PE 3" catback. It scrapes sometimes, no dents. It actually only scrapes if the car is heavy with passengers, or the bump is huge and I don't go over it properly.

My car only scrapes on high driveways. I got a 3" Buschur racing turboback. It should be fine. My car is also lowered on 1.5" springs with 17" rims on 225's.

Mine sat very low on my 1g but only scraped on big bumps and dips.. You'll be ok.

When I had my 99 I had about a 2" drop with the Thermal 3" exhaust that also passes under the rear and it didnt scrape unless I was going up a steep angle on a driveway.
