Can anyone list the lowering amounts of some good springs for a 2wd 97 gst? I'm looking to go about 1.5ish drop. Any help in helping me find a good spring with that drop rate would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

for quality, go full coilover system (maybe something like tein), its gonna run you $1k+.

for 1.5+ drops there are tons of random brands and brand name springs and shocks.
your ride will get bouncy and your handling wont get that much better. (unless you paid for a full coilover system).
check our parts list... and youll see some springs and shocks.

I disagree. Your handling will improve over stock with just some springs, with good shocks (Koni or Tokico, etc.) the handling will be SOOO much better and the ride is not bouncy (again, with good shocks). I speak from experience.

Sure the coilovers are most likely even better, but a "regular" setup is not bad, not to mention how not everyone's got loads of cash to drop down.

yeah dont get me wrong there is a slight noticable improvement, i had eibach sportlines with agx adjustables.
and it makes our cars look a lot better.

Eventually when I have a lil more money to drop I will go with some adjustable coilovers and tokico adjustable shocks. I know that just springs wont do too much but right now I dont have a load of cash saved up but I cant stand the 4*4 look on these cars. I just traded in my n/a Z for my gst 2 weeks ago and the only thing I am missing about my Z is the look and the handling http://gallery.teamtorquesteer.net/thumbnails.php?album=22. I had the ground control coilovers on it w/toks, and strut bars. I know I wont ever get the handling out of my gst that I had in my Z but I guess speed is a better gain anyway (at least for me). But like I said I dont have too much cash right now so I'm gonna settle for a spring for now just to get rid of this ugly 4*4 look. And I was just wondering what spring out there would give me a good drop. Alil bit more than the pro kit but not as much as the sportline from eibach.

i believe the sprint springs, and the tokico springs both lower it 1.5 inches. I dont remember exact drops for sure tho.

Did you need a camber kit to get the rear aligned with the sportlines?
