Lowering and suspension ????'s

Im new to cars and i am only 16, i want me 97 gst to be lower to the ground. i am thinking about ethier 17's or 18's on my car. i was just wondering do i just need coil overs, struts or what to make my car lower.. but i dont want my car to handle bad ethier.. i love the way these cars look low to the ground.. im not thinkin about a body kit or n e thing i just want my car to look cool.. so help me out and tell me what to do.....??????

to lower your car, all you need are lowering springs (or coilovers if you want to be able to adjust how low your car is)

you might also have to get a camber kit so that your alignment isn't off which would cause uneven tire wear.

to lower ur gst ur gonna need lowered springs/shocks, or coilovers, whichever way u decide to go. the car is gonna actually handle better after it is lowered because it lowers the center of gravity closer to the highway. there are several brands that make good springs: eibach, tokico, just to name a few. remember u will need some lowered shocks with the new springs as well. after u lower it the camber will be out pretty bad and u will need to buy some camber adjustment kits. ingalls makes excellent ones. u will need to install those and have the car aligned to do the lowering job properly.
