low rev limit

i have an 91 2.0 that the ecu was smoked , ive changed the ecu with another and the revs only get @3800 the it cuts out what is the fix thanks

check your TPS. it may be out of adjustment or bad.

thanks for the tip the tps was checked and was found to be in spec.. so by process of elimination i disconnected the mass airflow assembly i got my rpms back and the power but no idle of course..any other help ive switched with 3 diff. air sensor assy 2 of which are known to be good
