Hello everybody.

Yury here...This is my first post on DSM Tuners. .

99 GS Spyder, 4g64, purple n tan.

Im sitting at a stoplight on my side street and as soon as i hit the gas, the car stalled. I put it quickly back into park and tried starting it again. It took about 5 attempts before it started again. I had to throw it in reverse, pull into a parking lot and let it sit for a few minutes before i could drive away.

The car seems to be idling really low, and it seems to hesitate when the wheel is all the way right or left. A friend of mine (who is a DSM enthusiast) said that its either plugs/wires or o2 sensor.

Id like some additonal. Anything and everything is appreciated.

Thank you!

Seems to be intermittent, but generally when i am moving or coming to a stop.

Im going to check my spark plugs and o2 sensor today and will be back with more info.

Thanks for your help, and ahead of time for any additional info.

CAS would throw a CEL wouldn't it? Im not getting any check engine. Anyone else have any other ideas?

All input appreciated.

EDIT:

JUST took it for a drive to auto-zone to get a ratchet/wrench set for my plugs to test them. Stalled as i was turning into the parking lot. at idle the needle bounces from what seems like 500-800rpm.

Bump

Could it be anything having to do with a fuel issue? Bad fuel pump?

Good possibility that it's the plugs/wires if it's hesitating, misfiring. Check those, and let us know how it works.

an o2 wont stall the car or make it shut off, check the basics, air fuel, spark. after that try anything that will control the idle, IAC and such, then on to crank and cam position sensors, usually when a computer detects something way out of range it will substitute a value and run with that, the only one it cant substitute is the crank which would cause a no start. hope something in there helps!

Drove home from work yesterday with AC off and the car didn't give me a single issue.

Drove to work this morning, car ran just fine until i got off the exit and turned the A/C on and it started stalling.

Could this be A/C related, in regard to idle?
