:confused:recently did a compression test over the weekend and found some disturbing news. first off my motor is coming up on it 6th birthday:D it was bulit at the time i got it, it has 8.8:1 arias pistons and eagle rods on the bottom.top side has 3-angle valve job, 3g lifters, springs, retainerrs, 264 cams, attached to adjustable cam gears, smim. etc......:rocks:
now my baby maybe slowly be needing some tlc and before i get to wrapped up in $$$$$
just figured i'd get some info from my fellow dsm'rs, any insite will help. my compression was (4-118) (3-122) (2-115) (1-118) although still close i know i fresh built is 150+
my idle is 1200 w/cams, my vacuum at idle is at 18in. i don't know if i need a new bottom end since it's already at .40 over. i'd hate to have to replace a bottom-end right now.smokes only when floored probably black or grey i don't really pay attention to who's behind me :thumb: but anyway, thats where i'm at any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for the help:D:D:D:D

Do another compression test but this time add a Tspoon of oil to each cylinder in the spark plug hole before you do it.
And if the compression goes up then that tells you that you need new rings.
