low 13's to high 12's in Colorado

Would a 16g turbo w/ supporting mods be good enough to accomplish that goal? Or are those times ran by 20g's and t3/t4 turbo dsms? Because I know the altitude adds atleast a second to the quarter miles....
 
If a 14b can get high 11s-low 12s that will get you your goal. a big 16g can get 11s so yes it is very possible to get your goal.

I ran a 13.40 @ 100 at 4600 ft a few weeks ago on a FP big28.

I don't think altitude affects turbo cars quite the same way it affects NA cars.

I read that back in the day....the USAF experimented with Turbos on Airplanes to achieve the same HP at higher altitudes.

If your goals are lo 12's or whatever pick a Proven turbo.
16G's are Proven.
Big28's are Proven.
50 trims are Proven.

Great that is awesome news hehehehe! I went to the Pueblo track last year and there was a Dodge Viper running mid 13's. There was also a 2003 Acura NSX that ran a 14.9. I can't wait till I upgrade my turbo.
 
actually i think altitude has a large on effect on all cars.there's some people with similar set ups as me at sea-level turning high twelves and thirteens and all i'm runnnin at bandimere(6,000+feet)is a 14.9.
 
Altitude affects turbo cars, just not to the extent of the NA cars. But your goal of high 12's is possible with a big 16g. I have a big 16 ported and clipped, with a 2.5" exhaust, FMIC, had a VPC and so on. It hit a 12.84 @ 112. Now I will have a built motor with 8.5 compression, new tranny, AEM standalone, lightweight flywheel and if I get the motor broke in in time I will go to Bandimere and see if I can hit a 12.7 or 12.6, then its time for a bigger turbo.
 
I live in colorado and race at bandimere. I have ran a 13.5 on the 14b and a 12.8 on the 50trim so far. Some friends of mine in Colorado DSM have went 12's on the 14b and even more are running 12's on the small 16g, and the evo 16g. So yes its possible!
