loud exhaust

Hey guys, I just installed my 3 inch downpipe and 3 inch cat to my 3 inch exhaust piping and it is very lound. seems like it is super loud, even just cruisin at low rpm. Before I could drive it so that cops probabaly wouldn't pull me over, but now it is just very loud. I live in California so the cops get very mad about loud exhaust. I know there probabaly is nothing that I could do but if anybody knows about some 3inch muffler that isn't extremely loud or has done something that has made the exhaust sound quieter without sacrificing power, please help.
Help greatly appreciated. Also I am running an 3inch straight though can muffler.

well it obviously the straight through muffler thats making it loud. I guess you can get a silencer to stick inside the tip to make it quiter it will sacrifice a small amount of HP though

magnaflow makes very high quality mufflers, and they can be very quiet if you buy the right one. i really like them. i know this doesnt help you now, but my greddy EVO catback is very quiet......until WOT!! Then it sounds like amazing. but just to know, in case yours gets unbearabely loud.

you could put your cat back in to quiet it up a bit. or try to find a 3" high flow cat if you want it quiet and still have some performance gain. or try a different muffler, cause they get a little bit louder the more you drive them, they take like 2 weeks to "break in". well at least my flows on my tbird took a week to break in. but anyways, i have a 3" catback, and its just a little louder than stock cruising, but at WOT it roars. i might get a 3" DP but im keeping the cat cause emissions in cali suck ass.

I have a 3inc high flow cat on right now, but it is still very loud at cruising speed. at WOT it is not crazy loud. Could it be a possibility that it just sounds really lound inside the car because I removed the resonators?Does anybody run a magnaflow muffler? if so is it loud?
