Hi everyone i have a 1999 non turbo spyder with about 90k miles on it. If was all fine and dandy yesterday unitl i came to a stop at the light. I put it in first and notice that my engine seemed louder as i gased it through 2nd it was really loud and so on. Everything sounds fine till i gas it. It is completely a stock car no mods. Everytime i gas it is very loud sounds like i have no exhaust on as people would say. I searched the forums and keep getting ticking sounds thread. I have no ticking just a very loud engine now. I do smell gas fumes more than usual. I change the spark plugs yesterday but still same thing. Please help if you can. Thx

Your exhaust probably separated at the bottom of the flex tube. mine is starting to have tears in it as well.
