ok so every once and a while ill be driving my car and get on it a little bit. ....not really much at all...anyways...i was accelerating away from a stop light one night and i went over a pot hole and BANG i hear this amazing sound like metal hitting the ground...i thought i just had ran somethin over and did not think much of it...now the other day i was leaving my girlfriends house and same thing...not pot hole tho...same loud bang...my tires look like they are pretty f***ed up so im thinkin its them...come to think about it...the sound is almost like a bead on a tire when it pops...tire doesnt seem to have any leaks...just would like some input on what yas think...

New Rims and/or tires...now i have 18s might go to 17s

Check your motor mounts, especially the rear one. My car also did this when I got on it, sounded like something slamming down, and it turned out the nut had come off the rear motor mount bolt and the bolt was worked out halfway, letting the engine move too much and come slamming back once I let off. Mine ended up with a bent control arm after nailing a particularly nasty pothole... $250 for the part, and another $100 for the labor costs.
