okay i have 3 main problems right now most are concerned with spool of my rs49t my mods are all in my profile.

prolem 1. okay i took my heat shield off and found that one of the nuts mating the motor/exhaust mani was off so i go to put a nut on and the stuff just snaps off in my fingers. now my question is. Is it okay to drive around missing this one nut very far top left nut/stud

problem 2. now this is where the spool is concerned im getting horrible spool on my turbo right now im getting 3psi at 3k rpm 6psi at 4k 15 at 5k and slowly reaching the 18-19 by 6k. i just redid all my intercooler pipes and swapped out my super side mount for my stock one cause i thought it was leaking but to no avail same thing happens no matter which intercooler so im pretty sure there are no boost leaks.

problem 3. this just started happening recently that its gotten warmer but my vacuum at idle always use to be 19 but now it will be 12-14 but when im deceleating it will be at 19 also it stays at 19 unless im not moving in neutral then it slowy creeps back down to 14 if i tap the throttle it will go back to 19 then again fall down to 14 over about 5 seconds.

also my car seems to be backifireing alot more than usualy these past couple days but again this is the first time the car has seen summer temps.

If you don't have time to do something right, don't do it.


As far as your problems those are all common simptoms of a boost leak. I would start there and see what happens.
 
besides a boost leak causing the slow spool, that broken exhaust manifold stud could be causing a leak before the turbo resulting in slower spool.
 
check out www.vfaq.com and read up how to make a boost leak tester, that sounds like a major issue of your's as far as the exh mani stud to get it out you need to removed the exhaust manifold then depending on how you want to do thing you can use a EZ out or if that dosent work you can drill it out and put a HELI COIL in, i doubt your turbo spool is exhaust related but tighten up the exhaust bolts and nuts anyway and see if that help's, im getting the same kind of spool on my 50trim but mine isnt boost leak related.. i havnt figured out what it is yet..
 
okay little update did 2 boost leak tests (with both super sidemount and stock) and both held 20 psi with a *tiny leak at the bov that I fixed up its still doing this. so now im thinking it one of two things either it is leaking from the exhaust mani. Or im doubting how they have the vac lines ran as there are a hell of a lot of Ts thrown in around the engine bay

for the vac lines I have one that goes from the left side of the intake manifold that gets T'd into my boost controler and my BOV. my second set of vacuum lines run from the right side of the intake manifold and gets Td off to my boost gauge and carries on to a little black cylinder mounted on the firewall then the vac line comes out of it and goes to a solenoid on the fuel rail.
