this is probably a newbie question but, i purchased an OBX intake manifold installed it and didn't really feel a gain. then recently i read a thread on here saying that if you put too large of a throttle body on your intake manifold you might lose power instead of gaining due to the lack of pressure. Did this larger intake manifold do the same thing to my car?

Yes, but your problem is that you put a much larger intake manifold than was needed. How big is your throttle body opening. It should only be at about 55-57 for a N/T. Now that you purchased your OBX Intake manifold you need to buy larger cams and cam gears so you can take full use of it. After that and some dyno tuning then you will feel the full gain of the manifold. Don't forget your new valve springs when you install the cams and cam gears.

Edit: I just checked your profile, do you own OBX cause almost everything you have comes from them.

I just have the stock throttle body on it right now. But thanks for the info. And no I don't own OBX, but with my limited budget and the need to have fun with this thing, OBX fits me.

Next thing would be to open up your TB and see if that helps or not. Just go to your local machine shop and ask them how much to bore out your TB to 52 if you do not want them to make a new throttle plate but if possible it would be better to go 55-57 but then they would have to make you a new throttle plate. Next go for some cams cause then you'll really SUCK!!( <--AIR).
