Alright I'm fixing to have my car tuned. Mods are as followed. Intake, ported 2g EM, ported 2g o2 housing, td06h 20g, 3" turbo back (no cat) 550's, SAFC, 255lph FP...

I have been told that I would not need a AFPR that the SAFC would work just fine during tuning. But then I've also heard that I would need an afpr to adjust the FP to make it easier to tune.....Which sounds logic since if I tuned it without the SAFC it would be fine at WOT but be rich as hell under normal driving.....

What do you guys think? Any suggestions and feedback is welcomed.
 
I didn't use an aftermarket FPR for a long time. Thats what the low side of the afc is for. You car will run better with one don't get me wrong.

Do you have any kind of logger? blue wire mod?
 
I havent gotten the SAFC installed yet. I'm having it professionally tuned and yadda yadda.... Yeah I started to say that seemed a little too fishy for me to try not running an afpr...
 
No, I do not currently have a logger, but that will be in the near future. But where I'm getting it tuned at the guy is amazing with DSM's. He's got a dyno and such.

Not true, its IMPOSSIBLE to tune out regulator overrun
 
I have never had the problem? I guess I have been luckey in my 4 DSM's and the 2 I've bulit for friends. I have one now, like I said he should want a FPR.
 
True, he could live without one but why would you want to? They aren't that much and they are a really good thing to have on, aeromotive with install kit is going for ~$200 and you can get a megan racing unit for ~$70
