dear all,

maybe this sounds weird but its really happening , the brake fluid container keeps on opening by itself and keeps on driping fluid all over the engine bay ( i made it tight so many times but it just keeps on opening??????? for example i will make it tight and will take a ride in the car then stop, pop the hood up to see fluid everywhere and i am losing power and the brake are really hard. if i pump the brake pedal the RPM will start jumping also ???????

once the container is sealed there is no leak?? i really sealed it nicely but i dont know why it keeps on opening ?????? it happened 6 times already ??????????

can you help me in locating the problem ????????

Thanks

Your one way check valve may have failed and is pressurizing the brake booster. I had this happen to me. The stock one way vacuum check valve is a really cheap tiny little thing. It can't take much boost or heat. Mine was blowing the one way check valve open and applying the brakes. There is another thread on here about making your own burly one way check valve. These burlier check valves are made of metal with brass and stainless steel parts. You want to get a one way check valve that works at high temperature, isn't bothered by fuel or oil and opens at a pretty low psi (half a psi or so.) I did buy the one way check valve mentioned in the thread and found the breaking pressure too high, it was still pressurizing the brake booster (that one was just above 1 psi). So I dug around and found another with a breaking pressure under half a psi. I think that company was called McMaster?

If your pressurizing the booster to the point it is popping off your reservoir cap it's time for a new master cylinder but the cause would be the one way vacuum check valve. honestly, I wouldn't drive it as is. You are looking at catastrophic failure and possible death. driving a car without a master cylinder is hard to do even if you are expecting it, it if happens unexpectedly you are most likely going to get in a wreck. The faulty one way vacuum check valve presents itself as a boost leak. If the car shudders or stutters under boost.

Dear All,

can you please post some pics in order to help me locate the master cylinder and the booster and one way vaccum check ??????

i dont have any knowledge about brake system sorry for that

thanks

That big vacuum line running from the intake to the brake booster? It's on backward. It has a check valve inside it. You should only be able to blow toward the engine, not toward the booster.
