Hey guys, I'm looking for Anyone in the Shreveport/Bossier area with turbo dsm's. I'm from Colorado and I've yet to see any awd dsm's (besides one but he's in a complete rebuild). I would like to go riding around with someone and hopefully get to know a few of you. Anyone who is close please post up. :talon: :laser: :dsm:
 
Ok how about in the entire state of Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, or Texas (around Dallas area).....anyone.....anyone...... :confused:
 
well i definetly need some turbo dsm's to roll with me to the big car meets we have in shreveport....theres a lancer and a neon srt-4 there that no one can touch i mean this lancer has 15k invested in the motor alone and besides those two im the fastest car there. The only problem is, i have a stock clutch that will not work with me when it comes to a launch. last time I tried to slip launch it just spun the crap out of it and it hasn't been the same since so I haven't since launched my dsm. Truth be told I've never launched an awd car, I dont even know the feeling yet. I did just get a job at Horseshoe casino though and I'm going to be making good money there doing valet... By the way I drove an SL 500, nothing on me baby..LOL.
 
I'm in Dallas but my family lives in Shreveport. I come down there quite often.
 
A buddy of mine has a green 97 gst and theres another fwd 91 gsx. We should get together sometime all of us dsmers in this area dallas, houston whatever doesn't matter. It would be nice if we could get a few more people than 4 though.
 
Why don't you tell the guy "doing a complete rebuild" to get his car off jack stands and go drive...
 
I wish it was that easy but his motor is in many pieces right now. Anyways where in Lafayette cause ill check my schedule and see if i can make it...
 
It is that easy... just go tell him "put your damn car together!" Or hell... go do it for him :D
 
My car is finally well on it's way being put back together :D Were putting the new carpet in right now, about another hour and it will be done... If my transfer case would ever come in, it would be back on the road this week :thumb:
 
Dude I didnt even know that was you give me a call when you get it going..... pm me for it or ill have 100 prank calls. I cant find your number and i haven's seen you for a while. I'll be at shrevecity tonight if you get this soon enough come over...
 
Carpet is all installed, zatomz, I wanna look at your bolts on the seat belts, I think I lost the ones that go in there...

I hit one snag that I have to fix, I cut a hole in the driver side that was a little to big , but should be easy to take care of... :mad:
 
I live in Bossier City, just moved here from Germany. Right now I am waiting on parts and getting my DSM registered. They will not take a German Title so I had to get a new one from when I lived in Cali. I think I'll have it on the road in about 2 weeks, that's how long they said it would take to get the title to me.

Are there any good engine shops in Shreveport/ Bossier area? I guess I'm the latest addition to the DSM family in this area. I live in Shreveport.
 
There really aren't any good shops specificially for DSM's here, but there are plenty of backyard DSM specialist around. I know a few of them.Most shops here are maninly domestic v6 and v8 performance shops. The mitsu dealer here is about the only sure way to get a problem solved if you or someone you know can't do it....and it's expensive.

Yeah, I looked for a good DSM shop when I got here, I guess I was spoiled back in Virginia, theres was an awesome shop right up the street, and several within a 2 hour drive...
 
I might end up going to texas this summer to look for a good DSM shop.
I might as well do it when my club goes to HIN.

Since there really isn't much of a DSM Shop around here I guess we have to stick together.It seems like every week I see more and more turbo dsm's around.
 
Well I haven't seen any shops around here for DSM's but I don't care because I always do my own work. If you guys need help with like putting parts on or doing timming belts, or whatever email me. I can help out the 1g guys but the 2g's I don't ever work on. I'll still take a look at it but don't know them as well as 1g's.

I might hit you up on that offer when I need a second hand putting my transfer case back in :) I had a floor jack as my second set of hands taking it out :D
 
I got no problem helping out with that. Right now I am getting ready to take my DSM apart. I think I might start tomorrow but I don't have all the parts I need right now so I don't know if I'll do it. Plus I still don't have my title yet, so I can't even drive it. I have all the time in the world right now.
