Hey guys i am currently living in sioux city im moving to west des moines here in a few weeks and i am trying to get to know a few dms'ers out there do you guys all like meet up on a regualr basis or what let me in on the scoope. thanx in advance

Oh come on Ajax, it's not like there are a whole bunch of us DSMers in Iowa. I'm going to be driving up to Cedar Falls Raceway as often as possible every weekend. That's 2 hours one way on my car's own power. I'm cool driving outside my own city as long as I'm not gone for to long.

Yeah I would not mind aslong as AAA will tow my car from Des Moines! Knowing how trustworthy they are mine would break once I get there instead of closer to home. But yeah see if you can setup a date bc more likely I would have take work off.

I know how trustworthy these cars are, they aren't. I recently got fired from my job so I'm free all the time. I'm thinking maybe once a month we can all get together and do a cruise. If everything goes well I'm thinking we can get together and work on each others cars and help everyone out. When warm weather moves in, I'll be more than happy to go on cruises and stuff.

Hey, I'm one of the buddies that mekal was talkin about. Mekal and myself do work on the birds together all the time...we only know about 3 true dsm guys anymore around here. If you guys are willing to come to des moines we can round everyone up and take it to the local races. Anyone interested in setting a date as close as in May 2008?

Sounds good to me, as long as the talon is running still, . It has a tendancy to break right before I do something, or when I'm doing it.

How's June 13th sound? Gives everyone time to get off work and make the arrangements, but everyone thats in lets try and get an RSVP so we know what to expect. As of a meeting place I personally am thinking that we might as well meet up at the abandoned sonic on SE 14th. There's basically a stall for each car then and from there it's not a far drive to the races if anyones interested in goin to them. Let me know what your thinking guys.

I've sent almost every member (all 89 members) in Des Moines, IA a Private Message inviting them. I'll keep working on sending the PM invites to members in the Des Moines area. Sent some to Ankeny, Urbandale, Clive, Waukee, Waterloo, and IA City so far.

If possible we should post a thread with a link to this thread on the dsmsource.com or midwestce.net websites too.

It'll for sure be later in the evening probably start at 9ish that way if we all go for a cruise we can show up downtown if people are up for it...how badass would it be to have 20 or more DSMs all in a pack. It'd sure make the Honda guys freak.
