139,000 kms, manual boost controller, walboro 255 fuel pump, running 16 psi.. just curious if that amount of boost is safe what supporting mods would a talson tsi need to run 16psi.. I am going to look again and just curious what I should ask or look for with this car, it has every single receipt from day one, he is the 2nd owner of the car. thanks guys

I would at least get a wideband to monitor air/fuel ratios and an afc to make adjustments. You don't want to be running lean with higher boost. Maybe some 550 injectors, the stockers max out pretty quickly. As far as stuff to look for, any obviouse leaks, water, fuel, oil, exhaust. I assume since he has receipts all maintenance has been upkept. Timing belt, water pump have been replaced?

the timing belt and waterpump were both replaced recently, all on file with his recipts.. the head was rebuilt new v ales or something.. it has 3 inch exhuast from the turbo back. no leaks what so ever, right front fender is a bit rusty and a small hole in the hood, few dings here and trhere but no biggy.. how much boost can the stock turbo take?? he might have injectors I will have to look at the massive amount of recipts and paper work that he has for the car. from what I gather he has been running 16 psi for 6 months

Well I had the 14b turbo on my car at one point and was pushing 21psi, but the turbo was completely inefficient at that point and it would creep down to about 17-18psi in the high rpm's. So yeah, I wouldn't push it passed 18psi, that's about the peak of it usefulness and it won't shorten it's life up. But it will live at 16psi all day. Still fuel control and monitoring are most important anytime you raise boost.

well thats pretty awesome.. I come from the MKIII supra world and know for a fact on the stock turbo the only way to push 15 PSI is to get bigger injectors and bigger AFM. These cars are pretty awesome it seams..

what kind of 1/4 mile times are we looking at around 16 PSI?? thanks for the help guys appriciate it.
