my wideband has been bouncing significantly with the numbers while cruising speed and idle. cruising numbers are horrific, talking about a swing from 13-17 sometimes even way lean so that it cant read. i can definitely fell a strain on the motor when the afrs drop lean ( about after 15.8-16.1 or so), no its not a huge difference, but i know im feeling something. so ive made me a datalogger and this is what i got at cruising speeds, if i need to post additional data, let me know.

rpm injd 02-R tps tima
2718 8.5 .62 29.2 33
2687 9.3 .35 28.9 33
2687 8.5 .72 29.2 32
2718 9.3 .23 29.2 32
2781 7.0 .52 26.1 35
2750 7.8 .19 26.1 35

this is basically the stream of data that i get on the way home. . i think my porblems are related at idle because it is same deal. motor really runs a lot rougher when it drops lean so i know these issues are not a wideband sensor issue.

here is some idle data

781 0.7 .85 10.5 9
718 0.7 .05 10.5 8
843 0.7 .01 10.5 3
968 0.7 .50 10.5 6
1031 0.7 .82 10.5 10
1062 1.5 .85 10.5 11
1066 0.7 .87 10.5 14

again if additional data is needed. pls let me know. i will be making another log on way home.

thanks in advance

edit: i will also make note that i have AFPR with gauge, msd box, 680 injectors and vpc/gcc, fuel pressures stay at about 43-45 at cruising speeds and they do not bounce with the wideband going from lean to rich. 90 rs awd with 92 ecu and chassis

More info needed. A longer log would be good.
What are the VPC and GCC settings?

The VPC replaces the MAS in order to run piggyback SD, where the VPC converts a unit specific MAP and IAT into a Karmen frequency in order to keep the stock ECU happy. IIRC, the VPC is preprogrammed for a selected injector size by the dealer. This is probably your problem, your VPC is most likely set up for a different and smaller injector size and the GCC (pretty much the same thing as an SAFC1, except it only works in addition to the VPC and FCON units) is most likely set up to try to compensate for the rest.

Either way, the injectors you're using are pretty large for piggyback tuning, especially on a 1G timing map. Remember the VPC/GCC is only changing the airflow the ECU sees, this has an effect on timing too. I'm guessing someone else tuned this car, and that they had to compromise between WOT performance and cruise, probably trying to optimize the former.

Post another log please.

You should also log the fueltrims, which will give you a better idea what the ECU is doing. The O2's are supposed to bounce around during closedloop. If they stop cycling, and just drop to very lean, that could indicate that the ECU has maxed out the fueltrim.

i have most of the settings turned all the way down. gcc is running off of boost. and i will check the dip settings and chip inside the vpc. i got this car off a guy and he did all the work to it. i had a car prior to this one with vpc/gcc and it ran great. had basically same setup except my old one didnt have MSD box. i will make another log in the am on my way to work.

i switched my gcc to rpm instead of boost, seems to be running a lot better. i logged rpm, injd, knck, 02-r tps, tima, 02-f, injp, isc, ftrl, ftrm, ftrh, ft02 acel, and fuel. no i did not log all of these at once. but. i did 3 logs, compared the data, and i came to a conclusion on which ones were being affected with my wideband going crazy.

with tps not moving off of 25%, 02-f stayed at 2.03v. and ftrl ftrm stayed at 81.2% and ftrh was at 85.9 the whole log.
due to the fact that i do not have the correct cables, i cannot post my log and transfer it and all that. but i can tell you that my 02-r is going haywire and my ft02 is going just as crazy. fuel is staying at about 1.70-1.75 atm according to logger. is my ft02 and my 02-r suppose to be reading like this? it looks like a little kid scribbled across my graph. just wanting to know. and thanks for the help sorry i cannot post table.
