just doesnt look right

ok guys i hope you can tell me what the hells happening, when i turn on my car my exhaust throws out all this black liquid, i dunno if it's oil or what, can it even be oil? and on my valve cover it seems as if oil is leaking out from the sides, my oil guage is at L for the past 2 days would it just be the guage or do i need oil? im guessing a new head gasket would solve the valve cover oil leaking, atleast thats what it looks like im not sure i just wiped it clean thinking it's buildup, i mean could the guage just stop working maybe loose conection in the back or is it cause i need oil due to the fact it's coming out of my exhaust, only when i turn the car on ater turning it off, after it's been running it wont do this anymore just for a lil while when it's warming up, or could it just be carbon? i guess im just blabing on now what do you guys think?

well,

The valve cover leaking, just replace the valve cover gasket, Easy and Cheap to do.

i think its 17 bucks


mine was leaking, and i just tightened the bolts cause tehy were loose

The black stuff coming out of your exhaust is condensation and soot inside of it. (On a cold start.)
