Just like the title says, the locknut on the adjustment rod for the clutch won't budge. I can't loosen it and I'm worried if I try too much I'll just end up stripping it. Any help and advice would be great.

Make sure that you are turning it the right way. Being upside down for long periods of time can screw with your mind. LOL

I would throw some PB Blaster on it and let it set for a few, then retry.

Add a little bit of heat with a propane torch to that PB blaster and it'll loosen right up.;)

haha yeah. I took a break after about half an hour of cursing and swearing, then tried again after clearing my head. Unfortunately, I was already turning it the right way the first time. Gonna try to some PB blaster now. Thanks for the help :thumb:

I just adjusted mine a couple days ago. Yeah, it gets stuck on there sometimes. If you're really worried about stripping it, you could use a 12mm flare wrench on it. Here's an example of what they look like:

I was amazed at how little I had to actually turn the rod to adjust the clutch a great amount. only about one turn lifted the engagement point about an inch. To turn the rod, I just put a short 7mm box-end wrench on the flattened part of the rod to turn it. In all, I think I got done in about 10 minutes.

Still too long to be upside down, though. :)
