wanted to see who here has the lightest 2g awd and how did you do it?how fat is your car? right now im at 3678. with the basic weight reduction things, no spare, tools, light battery etc.

i thought that sounded heavy, i got wieghed at this place the sells sand by my house, i was in the car but im only like a buck 60 maybe they need to calibrate, anyway what are your weights?

My car weighed 3120 without me in it when I had it weighed. No weight reduction, spare and everything.

lightest 2g is probably someone like Rau.

edit; i dun think hes awd.

wtf someone posted that rau's car was xxxxlbs, i guess for some reason the post got deleted or retracted.

yeah, but rau's car is a tube frame isn't it? and it's set up as RWD not AWD, so it' bound to be hella light

exactly why i deleted it. his car is prob about the lightest 2g i can think of, but then i remembered it was rwd and didnt work in this thread.

im sure he has one of the lightest 2g bodys around though.

I can't be the lightest 2g AWD on this board... 3000 lbs with me in it, weighed at a scale on an Air Force base in SC. I've removed all the basics (spare, jack, etc) plus the windshield wipers, hood bracing, stereo, all interior panels behind the front seats, some sound deadener, headliner, windshield washer fluid resevior, and that's about it. Still have the carpeting, sound deadener beneath it, and door panels. I was planning on going with some squid skins parts to further lighten it.

Oh yeah, i'm only about 130 lbs.

I don't know how much my 96 talon awd weighs... But thus far I have removed:
AC compressor (didn't work anyways)
spare, tools
all back paneling
back seats
sound deadening material in rear hatch (if you got 20 minutes and a scraper, go for it)

What are some other good mods?
Lightweight battery, lighter rims, C/F hood, seats...?
