I decided I neeed to change the fluid in my X-case so I drained it and a couple drops came out. i said wow. So i started to fill it up with a half a quart and it started draining itself on the trans side where the input to the X-case is. So my question is how do I fix the leak? Is there a seal that can be replaced and how hard is it? Do I have to take the X-case apart?

Yes there is a seal there. You have to drop the downpipe/exhaust, and remove the bolts holding the t-case on, some of them are hard to see.. It's kind of heavy so don't lay directly underneath it when you remove it. Most times the T-case gets stuck pretty well and you have to gently pry it out with a small pry bar of flat tipped screwdriver. While you have it off you should replace the driveshaft yoke seal at the end of the T-case.

OK but after I drop the T case how hard is it to replace the input seal of the T case. Do I have to take it apart to replace the input seal. The output seal is pretty easy right. Its just out and in.

The input seal is the same as the output seal, they'e both pretty easy to get out, you don't have to take the case apart. I usually just screw a sheet metal screw into the seal and grab the screw with a pair of pliers and pull the seal out. That way you don't have to try to pry it out with a screwdriver or something and potentially damage the T-case.
