Was overlooking the engine bay today and noticed a coat of oil on the top of my transmission, and it appears do have leaked down from the Cam Angle Sensor. The Valve cover gasket is new, Im guessing theres an O-Ring on the CAS, but Im afraid to take it off and it would be out of adjustment. Can I get some helpe please?

OK, my Mitsu mechanic friend told me its a rubber O-Ring on the CAS, Im gonna replace it ASAP, but Im kinda worried about not getting it back on its setting perfectly. Im gonna try and use white out as a guide, just like the tie rod trick, good luck to me :talon:

Hi, I know this is kind of old.
But, I searched and I didn't find something about removing the CAS unanswered thread
How the project ended up? Did u need to adjust something on it?
All I am saying is: (mine is leaking too) I am going to have to change the CAS O-ring but I am worried about screwing something like u said.
Is it a Quick job? Do I need to do any marks?
Do I need a new valve cover gasket? and sealent? readjust the CAS? where to get the CAS O-ring?
Thanks in advance

Well I went today and they didn't have any O-ring that big!
So, Do I have to go to SATAN? anywhere else?
THat leak is screwing my new shepp tranny. :(
