I'm going to be ordering some Megan Racing coil-overs this week, and I hope to have them on the car in time for the first street legal drag race on May 22nd.
Another DSM driver on my local forum said that I shouldn't get coil overs if I'm going to drag the car (which won't be its only duty) because it will cause wheel hop
I figure if I set it up correctly I won't be getting any wheel hop on launch?
I'm still not 100% on my launches. But about 5000-5500 slip a bit then dump when it grabs seems to do the trick. So if that has anything to do with wheel hop...

Its awd if it means anything.

AWD DSMs aren't really prone to wheel hop, unlike most FWD cars.
Wheel hop in your car would be the least of my concerns, at this point. And if it does freak you out, like mentioned above, stiffen up your motor mounts.

Solid mounts, polyurethane bushings, LSD, coilovers set up for the stiffest rebound in the rear with the front slightly less stiff and you're good to go.

You will launch better if your car doesn't squat.. My car squats BIG time and i start to loose traction because of it... Not good. And that other guy has no idea what he is talking about LOL...
