I started out buying forged stroker internals for my 7 bolt in my 95 gst (rust bucket). Then I bought a 97 gsx with a 6 bolt swap. Is there any way I can use my forged internals bought for the 7 bolt in the 6 bolt? Or did I just throw my money away?

The rods can not be used, the pistons can be used if you are using 6 bolt stock rods with the small hole enlarged. You could theoretically have a set of 6 bolt aftermarket rods enlarged, but the small end would have to have to have a new bushing installed. This would end up costing quite a bit.

The rods, pistons, and crank all fit together. I was just wondering if they can go into the 6 bolt block. The crank is an eagle forged 2.3 stroker crank, the rods are Manley, and the pistons are Ross Racing

The 7 bolt crank will not work in the 6 bolt block. The rods won't fit a 6 bolt crank so you won't be able to use them. The pistons will work with modification to a set of 6 bolt rods. You are better off selling it all or just picking up a 7 bolt block.

I have a 7 bolt block from my 95. Would it take alot of work to swap the 97 back to a 7 bolt?

Should I be worried about crank walk in the 7 bolt at all? (That's the main reason I wanted to know if I could use the 6 bolt )

I would block off the oil squirters and have the block line honed with arp main studs. I wouldn't worry about it if everything is done right.

Thanks for all the help! :hellyeah:

Good thing I was planning a trip to the machine shop soon. Thanks for all the help!
