I'm assuming you checked compression and checked the condition of the oil? Just basic things, are important. Make sure to find out if he has all the maintence records as well. Those are always good to have.

this car is on a dealership and yes i ahve seen documentation that it has had dealership service its life

what am i to look for in the oil ???? other than anything that looks extremely strange

I just like to check to see if it looks like its been changed often..IE not jet black. I also usually like to check it for metal shavings, and other sediment that might be in the oil pan. Thats just something I do, you don't necessarily have to do that. Its a good thing that its had dealership service all its life, that means you'll be able to track down things that happened to it throughout its life. Do they offer any kind of warrenty just in case?
